Ain’t no party like a Vermont Symphony Orchestra party. The ensemble kicks off summer with a special installment of its annual tour of the Green Mountain State: This year’s series of shows is also a 90th birthday party for the VSO. Led by music director Andrew Crust and highlighting the talents of cellist John Dunlop, clarinetist Kelli O’Connor and percussionist D. Thomas Toner, the program includes moving works by Sufjan Stevens, John Williams and Vermont’s own Erik Nielsen.
